Woojin Kim of the Cheongju Archery Team wins the second team event at the Hyundai Archery World Cup
National archer Kim Woo-jin, 31, of Cheongju, South Korea, has won the team title at the second edition of the Hyundai Archery World Cup 2023.
According to the city of Cheongju on Wednesday, Kim won the gold medal in the men’s team final of the tournament, which was held in Shanghai, China, from June 16-21, defeating home team China 6-2.
Kim teamed up with Kim Jeduk (Yecheon County Office) and Lee Woo-seok (Kolon Extended Boys).
Kim qualified for the Hangzhou Asian Games by placing first in the men’s recurve at the first two national trials.안전놀이터
He will also compete in the third edition of the Asia Cup in Singapore in June and the third edition of the Modern Archery World Cup in Colombia.
The Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games, which was postponed by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be held from Sept. 23 to Oct. 3.
Kim won team gold at the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games, team gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, individual and team gold at the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games, and individual gold at the Jakarta-Palembang 2018 Asian Games.
In 2021, she won the first three consecutive World Championship titles in history.
