Unbeaten in seven official matches, Jeju continues home winning streak
Jeju United, unbeaten in seven official matches and equipped with a destructive force, will attempt to extend their home winning streak against Suwon in the 15th round of the Hana OneQ K League 1 2023 at Jeju World Cup Stadium on 27 April at 4.30pm.
Recently, Jeju has been on a seven-match unbeaten streak (6 wins, 1 draw) in official matches (K League 1-FA Cup). In particular, they have joined the championship race in earnest by quickly climbing to third place in the K League 1 (7 wins, 3 draws and 4 losses – 24 points), and have continued their journey to the top by reaching the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.먹튀검증
Next up is Suwon. Suwon have recently turned their fortunes around after a change of manager. However, Jeju have been strong against Suwon recently. They have won three of the last five meetings (one draw). In the first meeting this year, they came from behind to win 3-2 thanks to an equaliser from Yuri and a multi-goal performance from Hayes.
Jeju have scored a whopping 18 goals in seven matches, including the FA Cup. That’s 14 goals in K League 1 alone. What’s even more encouraging is the diversity of their scoring. There are nine different goalscorers and seven different players with assists. Jonathan Ling, who recently returned from injury, recorded an assist, while Lee Ki-hyuk and Kim Seung-seop scored their debut goals. Yuri Jonatan, who has been in fine form of late, joined the scoring fray with his third consecutive goal.
Coach Nam Ki-il said, “The FA Cup victory gave us more confidence. We want to make the squad more diverse. It’s encouraging that Lee Ki-hyuk and Kim Seung-seop scored goals in the FA Cup, so we can look forward to the next game even more.” “We’re building a squad that can rotate. Suwon are on a good run, but so are we. The players have a winning mentality, so it won’t be an easy game, but if we play to our strengths, we should be able to win,” he said.
