Song Jae-il’s three wins on the Srixon Tour… Grand prize and prize money leader
Song Jae-il (25, Srixon) achieved 3 victories in the Korea Professional Golf Association (KPGA) Srixon Tour (second division).
At Gimcheon Podo CC (par 72, 7299 yards) in Gyeongsangbuk-do, the 2023 KPGA Srixon Tour 5th tournament was held on the 20th and 21st with a total prize money of 80 million won.
Song Jae-il finished with a final total of 11 under par, 133 strokes, beating the tie for second place by two strokes and winning the prize money of 16 million won. On the 13th, he succeeded in winning the first consecutive victory since joining the KPGA, driving the momentum of winning the 4th tournament of the Srixon Tour.
The last win in the 4th tournament in 2020 was completely out of the slump without winning. Song Jae-il became the first player to win two victories on the Srixon Tour this season.
He is performing at the top of the 2023 Srixon Tour, including ▲ 1st place in grand prize points (33,068 points) ▲ 1st place in prize money (33,087,200 won) ▲ 4th in average at-bats (67.3332).
Song Jae-il said, “I am happy to have won two consecutive tournaments and won a lot. During the tournament, he had a good shot feeling, so he expected good results, but the result was a victory. He expressed his feelings that the short game operation was stable and well done, including the wedge shot at the crucial moment. 메이저사이트
“It seems that the fact that I won the previous tournament and played without any pressure was also the driving force behind the second win of the season. He also did not forget to say thank you to Coach Alan, who has always been of great help.”
Three years ago, Song Jae-il obtained the right to participate in the 2021 KPGA Korean Tour (1st division) as a third-place Srixon Tour point thanks to four TOP10s, including one win, but failed to maintain the seed.
Song Jae-il said, “My goal is to finish this season at the top of the Srixon Tour points and participate in the 2024 Korean Tour. As much as my confidence has increased, I will perform well,” he said, revealing his future plans.
