Park Ji-soo, the ‘pillar’ of women’s basketball KB Stars, ‘season out’

Park Ji-soo, the center of Cheongju KB Stars 먹튀검증, the defending women’s professional basketball champion, has to undergo surgery due to a finger injury. It’s actually ‘out of season’.

According to KB Stars on the 3rd, Park Ji-soo was diagnosed as requiring surgery due to ligament damage due to dislocation as a result of a detailed examination. Previously, Park Ji-soo injured her left middle finger while colliding with an opponent during a match against Shinhan Bank SOL 2022-23 Women’s Professional Basketball Bucheon Hanawon Q on the 1st.

An official from KB Stars explained, “Park Ji-soo is scheduled to undergo surgery next week, and I heard that he needs at least 4 weeks for rehabilitation.”

Park Ji-soo, who was the main player in last season’s combined championship of KB Stars, was diagnosed with panic disorder in July of last year and has been unable to play for a while since the start of this season. Then, on December 22 last year, he returned through the Asan Woori Bank match, but this injury forced him to leave the court for a while again.

Since his return, Park Ji-su has played in 9 games and averaged 23 minutes and 13 seconds, recording 13.8 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists. Thanks to Park Ji-soo’s performance, KB Stars ranked 5th (8-14) and continued their hopes for advancing to the playoffs.

However, an injury put the brakes on his progress to the playoffs. KB Stars is behind 4th place Incheon Shinhan Bank (11-10) by 3.5 games, which is the final line for advancing to the playoffs, with 8 regular league games remaining. Women’s professional basketball will play the regular league until the 3rd of next month, and start the playoffs from the 11th of next month.
