This is the third gold medal for the Korean team in this event. The national team won the men’s individual event Kim Dong-hyun (Gwangyang City Hall) and the women’s duo. Baek Seung-ja and Jeong Da-un won two gold medals in a 5-member group followed by a female 2-member group.
Kim Dong-hyun also collaborated with Park Gun-ha, Lee Ik-kyu (Gwangju Metropolitan City Hall), Gil Jun-seong (Busan Metropolitan City Hall), and Park Dong-hyeok (Korea National Sport University) to win the bronze medal in the men’s 5-member team. The team has won 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 4 bronze medals.
