Kim Ye-rim (20‧ Dankook University) and Lee Hae-in (18 ‧ Sehwa Girls’ High School) challenge to win the International Skating Union (ISU) Four Continents Figure Skating Championships 14 years after “Figure Empress” Yuna Kim do.
Kim Ye-rim and Lee Hae-in will depart for 스포츠토토 the United States, where the ‘2023 ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships’ will be held through Incheon International Airport at 4:00 pm on the 5th.
The Four Continents Championships will be held at the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado from the 7th to the 6th.
The two players who won silver medals (Lee Hae-in) and bronze medals (Kim Ye-rim) at the Four Continents Championships last year are aiming for the championship this time. If she makes it to the top, she will become the first female athlete to win the women’s singles event since Yuna Kim in 2009.
Kim Ye-rim participated in two ISU Grand Prix events in the 2022-23 season and won gold and silver medals. It is the first time in 13 years since Kim Yuna that a Korean athlete has reached the top at an ISU Grand Prix event. With her rise in the Grand Prix, Kim Ye-rim also participated in the final competition.
Kim Ye-rim’s propaganda also led to her Winter Universiade competition, which she participated in for the first time in her life. She became the first Korean figure skater to win a medal in women’s singles, as Yerim Kim placed third in the event.
Lee Hae-in, who leaves the country with Kim Ye-rim, is determined to shake off her runner-up last year. Recently, she improved her condition by placing third in a row in the President’s Cup Ranking Competition and the All-Around Championship held in Korea.
The women’s single short program at the Four Continents Championships will be held on the 10th at 4:35 am in Korea time, and the free skating will be held at 10 am on the 11th.
