‘Group 1’ Haeundae-gu FC and Treasure Island Namhae go straight to the quarterfinals

Busan Haeundae-gu FC U15, Gyeongnam Treasure Island Namhae Sports Club U15, Jeonnam Suncheon FC U15, and Seoul Dunchon Middle School went straight to the quarterfinals of the 60th Cheongryonggi National Middle School Football Championship.

On the 9th, as a result of the 3rd round of the group stage of the Cheongryonggi competition held at Goseong-gun Sports Park 3 and 4 and Hwahwa-myeon Sports Park in Gyeongnam, all 12 teams were covered.

Haeundaegu FC, Suncheon FC, Treasure Island Namhae, Dunchon Middle School, Gyeongnam Goseong FC U15, and Busan FC SAHA U15 took first place in the group respectively. Busan Gangseo FC U15, Gyeongnam Masan Jungang FC U15, Seoul Open Middle School, Gyeongnam Changnyeong FC U15, Jeonbuk Wanju FC U15, and Seoul Gwanghee Middle School each advanced to the finals by finishing second in their group.

Haeundaegu FC, Suncheon FC, Bomulseom Namhae, and Dunchon Middle School were lucky to advance directly to the quarterfinals through a lottery among the six top teams in the group. ‘Defending champions’ FC SAHA and Goseong FC are aiming to advance to the quarterfinals after going through round of 12 matches with the second-place teams in each group.

Group 1’s Haeundaegu FC and Masan Joongang FC drew 1-1 in the final match of the group stage. Masan Joongang FC took the lead with Lee Young-min’s first goal in the 21st minute of the first half, but Baek Chae-hyeon of Haeundaegu FC equalized in the 10th minute of the second half. The two teams, who had already confirmed their advance to the main tournament with two consecutive wins in the group stage, became equal on points as they could not decide the winner in the final game. The two teams, even with the same goal difference, took 1st and 2nd place in the group with multiple points. Haeundaegu FC, with 9 goals, took 1st place in Group 1, and Masan Joongang FC, with 8 goals, placed 2nd in Group 1. Busanjin SC U15 defeated Gyeonggi Cantera FC U15 2-1 and reaped the beauty of the end.

In Group 2, the teams that placed 1st and 2nd in the group were tied on points. In the final match of the group stage, Gangseo FC, which had been on a two-game winning streak, lost to Suncheon FC 0-1, giving both teams 6 points (2 wins, 1 loss). According to the winner-to-win rule between the two teams, Suncheon FC took 1st place in the group and Gangseo FC took 2nd place. Ulsan Hyojeong Middle School U15 defeated Seoul Bae Jae Middle School 2-1 and finished the tournament with one win after two losses.

In Group 3, Treasure Island Namhae, who had already qualified for the finals with two consecutive wins, drew 1-1 with Busan Deokcheon SC U15. Treasure Island Namhae comfortably took first place in the group with 2 wins, 1 draw and 7 points. Gaewonjung, who beat Gyeongnam FC U15 at the beginning of the year 2-1, rose to second place in the group with 4 points (1 win, 1 draw, 1 loss). Deokcheon SC unfortunately failed to advance to the finals with 3 draws (3 points).

Group 4’s Dunchonjung, which also confirmed its advance to the finals with two consecutive wins, was hit by Gyeongnam Jinju FC U15. In the 22nd minute of the first half, Dunchon Middle School gave up the first goal to Woojin Jeong of Jinju FC, and Moojin Kim scored in the 14th minute of the second half to balance the game 1-1. However, with 6 points (2 wins, 1 loss) already secured, there was no difficulty in climbing to first place in the group. Changnyeong FC drew 1-1 with Daegu Chungcheong Middle School and recorded 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss (4 points). Although the points were the same as Jinju FC, they took second place in the group ahead of the winner-to-win rule. Changnyeong FC beat Jinju FC 2-0 in the second match of the group stage.

In Group 5, Goseong FC defeated Busan I’Park Football Academy U15 5-0 with Baek Su-yang’s multi-goal. Wanju FC defeated the underdog Daegu FC Cannon U15 11-0. Wanju FC’s Lee Yong-hyun set off a ‘goal firecracker’ that scored 8 goals alone. Goseong FC and Wanju FC were tied with 2 wins, 1 draw and 7 points, but Goseong FC (+17 goals) took first place in the group, ahead in goal difference. Wanju FC (+15 goals) unfortunately finished second in the group and made it to the round of 12.

FC SAHA, the winners of the previous tournament, defeated Kwang Hee-joong 2-0 and secured 6 points (2 wins) to take first place in the group. In the 20th and 26th minutes of the first half, Baek Joo-ho scored consecutive goals to lead the team to victory. With 1 win and 1 loss (3 points), Kwang Hee-joong took 2nd place in the group.스포츠토토
