Following Paulo Bento, a new coach to lead the Korean national soccer team is scheduled to be appointed in February next year.
On the 13th, the Korea Football Association (KFA) held the 5th KFA Board of Directors meeting to deliberate on the procedure for appointing the national team coach position and the next year’s budget bill, which had been vacant since coach Paulo Bento left.
According to the national power reinforcement committee that attended the board meeting that day, the appointment of the director is scheduled to be completed by February next year. It was decided to recommend suitable leaders, both at home and abroad.
Within this month, the criteria for appointment will be confirmed and the first group of candidates will be selected. In January next year, the final candidates will be selected and their capabilities will be checked through direct interviews. In February, individual negotiations are conducted according to the priority of the negotiation target, and a director is finally appointed.

In terms of expenditure, the construction cost of the soccer comprehensive center occupies the largest portion at 51.1 billion won. A total of 32.5 billion won and 26.9 billion won were set aside for operating expenses for national teams at each level.
