Donggang University’s Lim Joo-chan to play in high school and college baseball all-star game…”I want to wear the Taeguk mark”

Donggang University baseball player Lim Joo-chan has been named to the roster of the first high school-college all-star game to be held this year.

Donggang University announced on 30 June that Lim Joo-chan, a sophomore infielder, will play in the ‘1st Hanwha Eagles Ship High School-College All-Star Game’ on 6 June in Daejeon.

Named a high school-college all-star by scouts from 10 KBO clubs, Lim has been playing shortstop in the College Baseball U League this year.스포츠토토

A reliable defender with quick feet and a long bat, Lim hit .265 (9-for-34) with 10 RBIs, six runs scored and two doubles in nine games in the U League.

Of his nine hits, three have been doubles and a home run, giving him an OPS of 0.943 (0.325 slugging and 0.618 on-base percentage), making him the team’s top offensive contributor.

“I think it’s a great opportunity to be selected as an All-Star by the scouts of professional teams and show my skills,” Lim said, “I want to play in the professional stage through my own baseball and wear the Taeguk mark.”

Meanwhile, 24 players from each position, including nine pitchers, three catchers, seven infielders and five outfielders, were selected for the inaugural Hanwha Eagles Baseball High School-College All-Star Game.

Many of the players are high school and college players who have been named to the preliminary roster for the Hangzhou Asian Games. The games will be televised on Eagles TV.
