The Los Angeles Dodgers swept a home three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks behind a strong start from Ryan Pepio and a three-hit performance from Max Muncy.

The Dodgers swept Arizona, 7-0, on Sunday at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif. The win was their fourth straight, improving their record to 83-49 on the season and solidifying their lead in the National League West.

The Dodgers started Mookie Betts (second base), Freddie Freeman (first base), David Peralta (left field), Max Muncy (designated hitter), Jason Heyward (right field), Kike Hernandez (third base), James Outman (center field), Miguel Rojas (shortstop), Austin Barnes (catcher), and Pepio.

Arizona countered with Corbin Carroll (right field), Ketel Marte (second base), Tommy Pham (left field), Christian Walker (first base), Alex Thomas (center field), Rueredes Gurriel Jr. (designated hitter), Jayson Peterson (third base), Jose Herrera (catcher), Heraldo Perdomo (shortstop), and starting pitcher Brandon Pott.

The Dodger offense began bombarding the Arizona mound in the early and middle innings. In the bottom of the third, the Dodgers capped off their big inning with two cannonballs. With the bases loaded, Freeman hit a two-run home run over the right field fence for a 2-0 lead. With one out, Heyward followed with a two-run homer to make it 4-0.

The good vibes continued. In the bottom of the fourth, the Dodgers put runners on second and third with a Barnes single to right and a Freeman double. Muncy followed with a two-run double to make it 6-0.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Dodgers loaded the bases with no outs after pinch-hitter Chris Taylor singled to left and stole second. Muncy followed with an RBI single to center field to make it 7-0.

Pepio earned his first win of the season (0-0) in five innings of two-hit ball with one walk and three strikeouts. Pepio made his big league debut last year, going 3-3 with a 3.47 ERA in 36 1/3 innings, and has been slowly settling in and proving his potential. Ryan Yarbrough followed with four scoreless innings of relief to preserve the win.

At the plate, Muncy went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs, while Freeman and Heyward each had two-hit games, including a home run, to fuel the offense.

Arizona, on the other hand, saw starting pitcher Potts fall apart in the middle of the game, allowing six runs (five earned) on eight hits (two home runs) with two walks and four strikeouts in four innings to fall to 7-1 on the season.스포츠토토

The offense was held to just four hits through nine innings.

The Dodgers, meanwhile, conclude a three-game homestand with Arizona before embarking on a four-game homestand against the National League leaders beginning next month. Atlanta is the league’s winningest team this season with an overall record of 87-45 and a .659 fan winning percentage.
