AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers to be held in Changwon in September… Qatar-Kyrgyzstan-Myanmar meet

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-23 Asian Cup qualifying match will be held in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province.

The Korea Football Association announced on the 20th that it had been notified of the schedule of the 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualifier Group B match to which Korea belongs.

The matches will be played on September 6, 9, and 12 at the Changwon Soccer Center. Kickoff time is undecided.

In the Group B qualifiers, which will be held as a full league of four countries, Korea will face Qatar on the 6th, Kyrgyzstan on the 9th, and Myanmar on the 12th. This U-23 Asian Cup qualifier serves as the first Asian qualifier for next year’s Paris Olympics, and the under-22 Olympic team led by coach Hwang Seon-hong will participate.

The preliminaries will be held in 11 groups with 43 Asian countries participating. A total of 16 teams will advance to the U-23 Asian Cup finals, including the 11 teams in first place in the group, the top four teams in the second place in the group, and Qatar, the host country of the finals.

During the qualifiers held in Changwon, the match against Qatar, the host country of the finals, is considered a friendly match and the match result does not affect the ranking.

The 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup finals will be held in April next year, serving as the final Asian qualifier for the Paris Olympics. The top three teams advance directly to the Olympic finals. The 4th place team will play a play-off against the 4th place team in the African qualifiers for Olympic qualification.온라인바카라
