The Lotte Giants, a popular baseball team in Korea, are making waves. At every baseball stadium where the Giants play, crowds gather, and many fans turn away because they can’t buy tickets.

For Lotte’s game against the KIA Tigers at Sajik Stadium in Busan on the 4th, all 22,990 tickets were sold. It was Lotte’s fifth home sellout of the season.

LOTTE head coach Larry Sutton thanked the fans for their support at home and away.

“The Lotte fans are our 29th man,” Sutton said. “Their passionate support at home and away gives the players energy and motivation (to do better). Even I get goosebumps when I hear them singing ‘Busan Seagull’ in the dugout,” he said.

“Even when we are losing, we fight hard to repay our fans for their support. The fans have helped our players become a ‘one team’. That’s why we’ve been able to maintain our top ranking.”
